BeyondSeoul is a participatory public diplomacy community where Korean and global youth connect deeply through local taste. We design encounters where new relationships and solidarity begin in everyday spaces beyond tourist routes.

BeyondSeoul uses local markets around the world and food culture as a bridge for everyday life in Korea and young people from around the world to meet naturally. We design market walks and cooking experiences so small local places can become starting points for new conversations and relationships.

Our journey began with Taste the World, Cook Together. Exploring ingredients in local markets, sharing recipes shaped by personal stories, and cooking together became a shared language of taste. It turned unfamiliar strangers into trusted global mates through the most intimate kind of connection.

Food was a beautiful first step, but what we truly discovered was the power of thinking together and completing something together. BeyondSeoul now expands beyond one place into many forms of global youth workshops, from local walks that uncover hidden neighborhood stories to popup workshops where young people from different countries plan ideas around shared interests.
